So we all know that I love to bake... I would love to go to culinary school or pastry school or even take a cake decorating class. But sometimes there does not seem to be enough hours in the day, or enough money in the bank. Last night I started reading a new book called Julie & Julia by Julie Powell. She managed to cook her way through Julia Child's book Mastering the Art of French Cooking. She made all 524 recipes in 365 days. She got started because she wanted something more out of life and she made this really good soup, then her husband suggested she go to culinary school. She said if she wanted to learn how to cook, she would just cook her way through the entire book... and now she has a movie based on her experience! All that being said, I am thinking of cooking my way through an entire baking hand book of some sort. So what do you think??

Sounds like a fun idea! I thought the same thing too after seing the previews for this movie the other day! I would cook my way through a book full of sweets! Are you really going to do it?
